The Art of Trusting the Universe

The past year and a half has been nothing short of a lesson in patience and grace as well as a continuous learning curve when listening to the universe and trusting that it has my back. I think anyone who has not been living in a cave would be inclined to agree that the challenges of 2020 and 2021 thus far have been extensive and overwhelming for many of us. That is why the blessings and announcement I am about to share with you are that much sweeter!

When I started my wellness career in 2015 after graduating from Omaha School of Massage and Healthcare, my intent was to be 100% self employed and some day run my own wellness practice. For those that aren't familiar with my story, I initially chose to work for someone else to get my feet wet in the industry and was extremely disheartened when that situation did not work out as planned. I ended up letting my license expire, taking some time away from massage and started working in the insurance world. It crushed me. I was becoming ill, my body hurt all the time and in September 2016 I had enough. I quit my corporate office job and and took two part time jobs so I could start offering mobile massage until I found a space to work from. In May of 2017, I found a session room to rent in an existing practice and stayed there until I found my current space at No Body's Perfect Massage here in Bellevue. For over three years, I have cultivated and grown my clientele through ups and downs, a global pandemic and more personal "life" than I care to share. I could not be more blessed for the love and experiences I have had in my time at this location as well as the bonds I have made with my clients.

Earlier this year, the owner of No Body's Perfect, let us know her intent to retire by the end of 2021 and as I began to explore my options, it seemed as if the universe was smacking me upside the head with signs (I don't listen well sometimes lol). While it will be bittersweet leaving the space that I have called home for the past 3 years, the dream of owning my own practice is finally coming to fruition and I will be moving my practice this fall. I have signed the lease on a commercial property less than ten minutes north of my current location that will house Living Within Your Soul Wellness & Bodywork!! The grand opening is tentatively slated for October but I will likely be transitioning non-bodywork services to that location by September (meditation, coaching and workshops). Located in the beautiful Quartermasters Depot just south of downtown Omaha, the new space will afford me the opportunity to expand my practice by offering more in depth energy and light work, drop in meditation sessions, and self-care/wellness coaching along with a less active environment more conducive to the energy based healing direction I am intending to take my practice.

My hope is that many of you will join me at this new location as I continue follow my dream of helping my clients live their best lives. You will notice several changes in the upcoming months including enhanced services, an additional website that will house the wellness and self care programs, blogs and podcast as well as additional advertising and social media presence and more comprehensive follow up care. I am so very excited to take this next step in my career and mindful that these changes impact all of my clients and have an open door policy for any questions or concerns as I prepare for this change in my practice. The blessings are overwhelming and I look forward to serving my community in a healing capacity for many years to come!

Namaste,
